The National Livestock Mission (NLM) is a central sector and centrally sponsored scheme of Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (hereinafter referred as “DAHD”), which aims towards employment generation, entrepreneurship development, increase in per animal productivity and thus targeting increased production of meat, goat milk, egg and wool under the umbrella scheme. DAHD has nominated Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) as implementing partner for facilitating implementation of the scheme.

The online portal for NLM has been developed by SIDBI in accordance with the scheme guidelines and the portal along with the content is with the approval of DAHD.
